An Attitude of Perseverance
Life is difficult and trouble is inevitable. While the desire to avoid trouble is understandable, it is ultimately unrealistic.
The only remedy to trouble is perseverance, not avoidance, which tends to have the opposite effect. It solves our problems in the short term, but multiples them in the long-term.
Dwelling on your problems doesn’t work either because it increases their impact and their ability to harm us. Most problems we encounter in life come and go quickly, but dwelling on our problems allows them to take up residence in our minds and affect us for much longer than they would if we simply let them pass on.
The power we have is in our ability to choose the attitude we take towards our troubles.
